Pant-less Pensioner Topples Islam
A frisky, old codger in a two story hat,Just called all of Islam “stupid, violent and fat”
With a wink and a smile, moderate Muslims went nuts,
Demanding his head in a bag with his guts
How shrewd a response, un-ironic to boot,
Muslims, so graceful, as you ready, aim, shoot
Jihads, slit throats, and exploding teen boys,
(Priests hate to expend such sweet, supple toys )
Right, wrong or insane, dear Muslims, R.E.L.A.X!
Light up a fat blunt; wipe that blood off your axe
When Messiah arrives, he’ll clear up this whole mess,
Or, he’ll toss you some virgins in a black, shapeless dress
Take solace that statements like those by the Pope,
Are desperate, last breaths of a faith on the ropes
In Europe, the only flock near a Pugh
Is a Japanese tour group with Nikon D52’s
While Africans die of AIDS, war, and neglect,
U.S. Evangelicals give us fools to elect
The only remains of the Catholic regime,
Are a drunk Irish stripper and Peru’s dodgeball team
So how does the Church compete nowadays,
With TV and TiVo and Tsunamis and gays?
We have JDate, V1aG.R-A, and that flirt Suri Cruise,
How ‘bout a new show where she dates famous Jews?
I say grumpy, old Popes shouldn’t ruin our fun,
So, priests grab each other, a Rabbi, or nun
Let’s rejoice in the glory of love and the skin,
Before Muslims put bombs in the Jeeps that we’re in

Two issues with your otherwise accurately offensive rant: (1) the Pope did not call Muslims “supid, violent and fat”; and; (2) I would not say that “moderate Muslims went nuts.”
In the first point, while I completely agree that the Pope should not have used the quote that he did and that it did unnecessarily fan the flames of Jihad, he was trying to get across a point that violence should not be a tool to spread religion. While he would have been better to use Catholic history (e.g Spanish Inquisition), his point is still valid.
In the second point, moderate Muslims have accepted his apology (radical Muslims were nuts before the Popes comments). That does not stop the more radical elements from saying the following “We urge you Muslims wherever you are to hunt down the Pope for his barbaric statements as you have pursued Salman Rushdie, the enemy of Allah who offended our religion," he said in Friday evening prayers. "Whoever offends our Prophet Mohammed should be killed on the spot by the nearest Muslim,". Certainly, while the Popes comments may not have been accurate on Monday, they will be proven so by Friday.
On the two points you raised:
1) yes, I took some poetic license with that line - and countless others. It's not easy to make this crap rhyme!!
2) I guess we differ on our definition of "nuts". I consider it nuts to take a 78 year old guy in a 3 foot hat and satin robe seriously. Even demanding apologies from a guy who's denied himself sex (presumably) his whole life is insane!! Muslims - radical and moderate alike, should not have skipped a beat over anything the pope says and continued doing what they were doing. It's like the cartoon situation all over again. To make a big deal out of this is cartoonish. Same goes for any Jew, Christian orHindu who conversely buys into this nonsense. The guy was quoting old reading material. he wouldn't be wearing that outfit if he didn't believe his answers about God were better than the other guy's. Duh. Case closed. (And that's how you argue argue in 6th grade!)
Another beautiful rhyme with reason from the inimitable Faktorial.com. I enjoyed reading it.
Cheers!
Since when did you become so reasonable!
Mr. Faktorial,
What can I say...
Ripping on Benedict?
I'm left in dismay
You gave him no credit
For sayin like it is
And then let him slide
For reneging his diss
For once a world leader,
Aside from Bush and Blair
Called out the angry muslims
And pointed at their lair
And when those swarthy bastards
Did that which they do best
He wimpered in the corner
And ran like all the rest
I think he needs to study
The church's secret files
That teach priests not to be too brave
But rather cowardly pedophiles
